Fanshawe College announced on March 14, 2019, that it has finalized an agreement for an additional site in downtown Woodstock, Ontario, to accommodate its growing student population.
The new location at 45 Metcalf Street will provide Fanshawe the opportunity to offer a selection of flexible learning options in a prominent setting. The College will offer part-time studies programming at the site beginning in fall 2019, as well as provincial Literacy Basic Skills, Academic Upgrading and Contract Training Services.

"We're very excited about expanding our presence downtown," said Greg Yantz, Associate Dean, Woodstock/Oxford Regional Campus. "Moving into 45 Metcalf will help increase our ability to meet the needs of clients in our continuing education and academic upgrading programming, especially given its proximity to other downtown services, including the Employment Services offices."
The new location will consolidate activities Fanshawe currently conducts at four different sites throughout the City of Woodstock. In the coming months, the building will undergo renovation to transition it to educational use. When complete, the 7,200-square-foot facility will provide four new classrooms and a multi-purpose conference room, freeing up much needed additional academic space at the current campus at 369 Finkle Street.
"We've experienced more than 20 per cent growth in enrolment over the past two years alone," explains Yantz. "As the College continues to develop our programs and welcome more students from around the world, this expansion will help us to accommodate their needs while continuing to provide the same level of service and education that our community has come to count on."
