(London, Ontario) – Fanshawe Athletics announced today, two new additions to their Men's and Women's Volleyball coaching staff for the upcoming 2014-2015 season.
Joining Head Coach Patrick Johnston will be Sean McKay, taking the assistant coaching role with the Men's Volleyball Team.
McKay joins the Fanshawe Falcons with a number of years of coaching, playing, and refereeing in London, Ontario. McKay is currently working towards a Master of Arts in Kinesiology with a specialization in coaching at Western University. Aside from his education, McKay was a five year member of the Western Mustangs Men's Volleyball program, serving as team captain for three of those seasons. Throughout his athletic career at Western, McKay was a two-time OUA All-Star, four-time OUA silver medalist, and most recently a 2014 CIS silver medalist.
Joining Head Coach Sean Pellow and the Women's Volleyball program is Assistant Coach Genoa Moxley.
Moxley joins the Fanshawe Falcons as a former scholarship athlete from the University of Dayton (NCAA) in Dayton, Ohio. Moxley earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Education while competing at the varsity level in women's volleyball. Since graduating, Moxley has had years of experience coaching volleyball at the NCAA level. She has been an assistant coach at Southwestern University in Texas and Bradley University in Illinois as well as a Head Coach at West Liberty University in West Virginia.
The Falcons Volleyball programs will host their first league games of the year on October 25th against the Mohawk Mountaineers. The Women's team will play at 1:00 pm with the Men's team following at 3:00 pm.
