Fanshawe College is bringing home eight medals from the Ontario Technological Skills Competition, held May 2 to 4 in Waterloo, Ontario.

Skills Ontario is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to promoting the skilled trades and technologies as viable first-choice career options for Ontario youth. The Ontario Technological Skills Competition is Canada's largest skilled trades and technology competition.

Students from the Faculties of Business and Technology won four golds, three silvers and one bronze. The gold medalists will compete in Moncton, New Brunswick at the National Skills Canada competition in June.

Gold medalist Ryan Zantinge was also awarded the Skills Ontario Award for highest scoring competitor in all post-secondary competitions at all of Skills Ontario. Ryan will receive a second medal and monetary award.
