Spring 2015 convocation for 6,300 new graduates.

From Thursday, June 18 to Thursday, June 25, Fanshawe College will join families and friends to celebrate the hard work and dedication of more than 6,300 graduates. The College will host ten ceremonies during the six days of convocation, where students will be presented with degrees, diplomas and certificates.

 

"I wish all our graduates the very best as they embark on the next phase of their lives," said Fanshawe President Peter Devlin. "Their credential from Fanshawe College will create great pathways to future careers for our graduates. We look forward to celebrating their achievement, together with family and friends at this special time."

During convocation, Fanshawe will also recognize exceptional graduates who have distinguished themselves through service to both the community and the College, while achieving high levels of academic excellence.

"Fanshawe's mission is to provide pathways to success, an exceptional learning experience and a global outlook to meet the needs of students and employers," said President Devlin. "Convocation strongly reinforces our mission and we are proud of the accomplishments of each of our graduates."

Honorary degrees and diplomas:

Fanshawe honorary degrees and diplomas recognize outstanding individuals who have enriched the lives and careers of Fanshawe College's students and alumni. This year, six such individuals will be recognized with honorary credentials. Fanshawe College honorary degrees and diplomas will be presented to:

  • Ms. Britta Winther (Friday, June 19 at 10 a.m.)
  • Ms. Martha Henry, Actor, Director and Director of the Stratford Festival's Birmingham Conservatory for Classical Theatre (Monday, June 22 at 10 a.m.)
  • Ms. Jane Roy and Mr. Glen Pearson (Tuesday, June 23 at 2 p.m.)
  • Dr. Victor Han, Professor and Chair, Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine; Director, Children's Health Research Institute, Western University (Wednesday, June 24 at 10 a.m.)
  • Mr. Les Bogar, Plant Manager, GM CAMI Assembly (Thursday, June 25 at 10 a.m.)
