On Thursday, February 4, Fanshawe College hosted the 24th Distinguished Alumni Awards ceremony celebrating six graduates who have established a legacy of excellence in their workplace and communities.

The awards, presented during the Hall of Fame Dinner in the College's James A. Colvin Atrium, recognize significant contributions in one of six categories: Community Service, Creative Arts and Design, Health Sciences, Technology, Business and Recent Graduate. For the third year, Fanshawe presented an Honorary Alumni Award to an outstanding individual who has made remarkable contributions to Fanshawe and its students, while also achieving substantial career success.

“In leading a College that is committed to unlocking the potential of students, I take great pride in meeting and getting to know our many alumni. It's always rewarding to hear how our graduates are turning heads as industry leaders, entrepreneurs and employees in nearly every job sector in Ontario and around the world,” said Fanshawe President Peter Devlin. “Each of these Distinguished Alumni Award recipients have made significant contributions within their chosen fields and we are very proud of their accomplishments.”

“On behalf of Fanshawe's more than 167,000 alumni, I offer my congratulations to the 2015 Distinguished Alumni Award recipients. These remarkable people are a source of inspiration for Fanshawe alumni, current students and our future alumni, who are eager to make their own mark on the world around them.” said Colleen Breen, President of the Alumni Association. “Thank you to our strong network of community partners for their ongoing support of the College and investment in helping our graduates grow into impressive and gifted individuals.”
