Business school chair and co-op consultant honoured with prestigious awards.
Fanshawe is proud to announce that Mary Pierce, Chair of the Lawrence Kinlin School of Business, and Marg Medeiros, co-operative education consultant, have both been recognized with prestigious awards from Colleges and Institutes Canada (CICan).
"We are proud Mary and Marg have been honoured for their work," said Peter Devlin, President of Fanshawe College. "They have both been instrumental in continuing Fanshawe's long-standing reputation for offering a first-class learning and career preparation experience."
This is the third consecutive year in which Fanshawe has received multiple CICan honours.

"Every year, the CICan Awards of Excellence recognize these dedicated people who go above and beyond to make Canada's post-secondary education the best in the world."
Marg Medeiros, a Co-operative Education Consultant with the Employment & Student Entrepreneurial Services department, was recognized with a gold-level designation in CICan's Staff Excellence Award. For almost thirty years, Marg has demonstrated excitement, energy and enthusiasm for her work and a passion for students. She has served the College with distinction and has advanced Co-operative Education at the regional, provincial and national levels. She currently supports between 100 and 150 students every term and helps them find work placements that match their interests.
Mary Pierce, Chair of Fanshawe's Lawrence Kinlin School of Business, received a bronze award in the Leadership Excellence category. Mary is innovative and tireless in her efforts to build the vibrant business school, and has been instrumental in establishing new diploma, graduate and degree programs, as well as university transfer agreements. Mary has deep reserves of energy that people find compelling and engaging, resulting in amazing accomplishments for Fanshawe.
The awards were presented at CICan's annual conference in Québec City from May 29 to 31, 2016.
