Women's Soccer

(London, Ontario) – On Wednesday evening, the Ontario Colleges Athletic Association (OCAA) named Jade Kovacevic (Georgetown, ON) the Women's Soccer Player of the Year and a CCAA All-Canadian.  This is the second consecutive year that she has received both of these honours. Kovacevic, the team captain, led her team to an OCAA West Division title with an undefeated record of 9-0-1.  She was first in the West Division and third in the OCAA in scoring with 23 goals.  In nine wins this season, Kovacevic had seven game winning goals and set Fanshawe records for goals in a single game (6) and career goals (49).

The OCAA also announced;

Jade Kovacevic – OCAA West Division Scoring Champion and OCAA League All-Star

Amber Lea Hodgins – OCAA West Division Rookie of the Year

Marisa Oliveira – OCAA League All-Star

Daniella Strano – OCAA League All-Star

Selena Roberts – OCAA League All-Star

 

The Fanshawe Women's Soccer team will play in an OCAA quarter-final game against the Cambrian Golden Shield on Thursday, October 27 at 9am.
