(London, Ontario) – The Fanshawe Cross Country teams are both ranked top five in the Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) national rankings this week.


The Men's Cross Country team moved up to top team in the nation after winning the OCAA Championship last Saturday in both the team and individual events. The Falcons are led by Jordan Kadlecik (Grand Bend, ON), Chris Caddey (Dorchester, ON) and Alastair Thompson (London, ON), who finished first, fourth and fifth respectively. Other Men's Cross Country teams in the OCAA that are ranked include St. Clair (5), Sheridan (7), Humber (9) and Mohawk (13).


The Women's Cross Country team is ranked #4 in the CCAA rankings this week after a successful OCAA Championship. The Fanshawe Women captured team gold and Janelle Hanna (Peterborough, ON) also won the women's individual gold. Other OCAA Women's teams that are ranked nationally include Humber (6), George Brown (9), and UTM (14).


Fanshawe will compete for the national title on November 11 when they travel to Sainte-Thérèse, Quebec for the CCAA Cross Country National Championships hosted by Collège Lionel-Groulx.
