(London, Ontario) – The Fanshawe Women's Soccer team cracked the Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) National Rankings for the first time this season, coming in at #10 in the country.
Fanshawe is currently in first place in the OCAA West Division with a record of 4-0-0. They are led by star striker, Jade Kovacevic, who tied the Fanshawe record for most goals in a season, with 13, after only 4 games. She was last week's OCAA and CCAA Women's Soccer Athlete of the Week and leads the CCAA in goals per game with 3.25.
Fanshawe will look to continue their winning streak when they travel to play Lambton College on Wednesday, September 30. Game time will be at 5pm. Other Women's Soccer teams that are ranked from the OCAA include Algonquin (3), Seneca (11), Humber (13) and Sheridan (14).
The Fanshawe Men's Soccer team is ranked #13 nationally for the second consecutive week.
The Falcons record is now 3-0-1 and remain in first place in the OCAA West Division after their 4-0 win over Conestoga last Saturday. They are currently leading the OCAA in goals against (0), having yet to give up a goal this season.
Fanshawe will take the field again on Tuesday, September 29 when they head to Sarnia to play against the Lambton Lions at 5pm. Other Men's Soccer teams ranked teams from the OCAA include Humber (2), Algonquin (4) and Sheridan (11).
