Fanshawe's Employment and Student Entrepreneurial Services will host an employer appreciation dinner on Wednesday, March 29, 2017, to recognize the important role employer relationships play in the College's efforts to provide students with pathways to success.
The event will include a panel presentation featuring four employers sharing their thoughts and experiences on hiring Fanshawe graduates, supporting the 5,000 students enrolled in one of the College's 42 co-op programs, taking on an apprentice or receiving services as a client.
The 340 employers in attendance will represent a wide range of sectors, including finance, legal, healthcare, transportation, technology, social services and education.
Employment and Student Entrepreneurial Services provides a holistic service model focused on facilitating co-op and apprenticeship placements, providing career services to support the College's 88 per cent graduate employment rate and offering support to encourage students with an entrepreneurial spirit. The department also offers free community employment services to the general public.
"We've had tremendous success supporting our students, graduates and community clients over the years," says Darlene O'Neill, senior manager of Fanshawe's Employment and Student Entrepreneurial Services. "This is an opportunity for us to say thank you for the high level of engagement and support that have made it all possible."
This event is open to the media.
