The Faculty of Regional and Continuing Education at Fanshawe College has announced the upcoming launch of a new highly-flexible, modular certificate program to be offered in Ingersoll.
Set to start this fall 2017 at the Fusion Youth and Technology Centre, 121 Thames Street North, the new Food Service Worker certificate has multiple intakes throughout the year, meaning new students may begin their studies approximately every six to eight weeks. Courses are offered as six-week learning modules.
The program is part of the College's new series of MyPath program offerings, which are designed for students seeking flexible, short-term, career-specific training options. The new certificate in Ingersoll will offer the same curriculum as the MyPath Food Service Worker program recently announced to begin in Woodstock this fall. Courses will be managed and taught by Fanshawe's Woodstock/Oxford Regional Campus.

"We're excited to bring our programming to Ingersoll with the launch of this new program," says Greg Yantz, chair of the Woodstock/Oxford Regional Campus. "We aim to meet the needs of people looking for flexible ways to get into the job market quickly by offering a reasonable all-in-one cost and personalized, concierge-level service to help students from their first interaction with Fanshawe until the day they're career-ready."
Fanshawe's MyPath modular programs provide a new option for people trying to balance the desire for career-focused education with current job or family demands. Students can enter the the new Food Service Worker certificate program with or without previous post-secondary experience, and will receive one-on-one support through the process, from registration to program completion. Applicants may also be eligible for a Continuing Education bursary.
