At a staff celebration on February 23, 2017, Fanshawe President Peter Devlin announced that College staff, students, alumni and retirees have surpassed their United Way campaign goal of $112,000.
Assisted by the Fanshawe Falcons extramural cricket team, President Devlin unveiled the largest contribution in the College's history, a record-setting $115,153 donation to the United Way. This all-campus total, which reflects funds raised through payroll contributions, as well as fundraising events and student activities, will be distributed to United Way agencies across each of Fanshawe's four campus communities in London, Woodstock, St. Thomas and Simcoe.

"The Fanshawe family continues to recognize the importance of giving back to our communities and the powerful difference United Way sponsored agencies make in the lives of those who need assistance," says President Devlin. "We're thrilled to help touch so many lives. I am very proud of all our staff, students, alumni and retirees and thank them for their support."
This is the seventh consecutive year Fanshawe has surpassed the $100,000 mark, and brings its total contributions to the United Way to more than $1.4 million since the College began donating in 1982.
