 (London, Ontario) – On Saturday night in the OCAA Men's Volleyball Provincial Final, the #1 CCAA nationally ranked Fanshawe Men's Volleyball team (22-0, 1st in West) completed their perfect OCAA season. The Falcons had a dominate performance in defeating the #6 Humber Hawks (18-4, 2nd in West) in three straight sets (25-12, 25-18, 25-13) and were crowned the 2017-18 OCAA Provincial Champions. The Falcons never lost a set (9-0) enroute to the program's second OCAA title in the past 3 seasons (2015-16). The OCAA Men's Volleyball Championship was hosted by Georgian College in Barrie, ON. 


Outside hitter Will Otten (Delaware, ON) was named Fanshawe's Player of the Game in the final. Zach Albert (Brampton, ON) was named the tournament's most valuable player after leading the team with 4.4 kills per set over the three games. Teammates Cole Jordan (London, ON) and Sebastian Lethbridge (London, ON) were both named Tournament All-Stars. The Falcons will now represent Ontario at the CCAA National Championship from March 7-10 in Victoria, British Columbia, hosted by Camosun College.


On Saturday afternoon in the consolation final of the OCAA Women's Volleyball Provincial Championship hosted by Centennial College in Scarborough, the Fanshawe Women's team (16-6, 2nd in West) fell to the Mohawk Mountaineers (14-8, 5th in West) 3-0. Tarea Heshka (Erin, ON) was named the Falcons player of the game.
