(London, Ontario) – The Fanshawe Men's Volleyball team (5-1) is ranked #5 for the second consecutive week in the Canadian Colleges Athletic Association (CCAA) National Rankings.
Last week, the Men's Volleyball team defeated the St. Clair Saints (3-3) in three straight sets 25-23, 29-27 and 27-25. In a very balanced team attack, second year outside hitter James Jackson is now leading the Falcons with 4.2 points/set on the season. The Falcons are in second place in the OCAA West Division and are ranked #2 in Ontario. Fanshawe is on the road on Tuesday, November 22, when they travel to take on the Conestoga Condors (1-4). The game starts at 8pm. Other Men's Volleyball teams in the OCAA that are ranked include Mohawk (4), Georgian (9) and Durham (11).
Fanshawe Athletics is the proud host of the 2017 CCAA National Men's Volleyball Championship from March 9-11, 2017.
In the first rankings release of the year for the Men's and Women's Badminton teams, Fanshawe cracked the list, coming in at #15. The Falcons have competed in two exhibition tournaments so far this year and have had a number of semi-final appearances. The Falcons have finished tournament play for the semester and will be back on the court January 13-15, 2017 at the Centennial College Invitational Tournament. Other Badminton teams in the OCAA that are ranked include Humber (1), Seneca (4), Conestoga (7), George Brown (10) and Redeemer (13).
