(London, Ontario) – On Saturday night at the OCAA Men's Volleyball Provincial Final, the #2 CCAA nationally ranked Fanshawe Men's Volleyball team (19-2) defeated the Mohawk Mountaineers (16-6) in three straight sets (25-20, 25-16, 27-25) and were crowned OCAA Provincial Champions.  This was only the programs second ever Provincial Men's Volleyball title and the first in 46 years, since the 1969-70 season.  Outside hitter Nate Van Camp was named Fanshawe's Player of the Game.

 

The Falcons finished the OCAA Championship undefeated, with straight set victories over the Trent Excalibur, Sheridan Bruins and Mohawk Mountaineers.  Fanshawe's first year setter Sebastian Lethbridge was named the OCAA Tournament MVP, with teammates James Jackson and Derek Braun both being named Tournament All-Stars.

 

The Falcons will now represent Ontario at the CCAA National Championship from March 9-12 in British Columbia, hosted by Douglas College.
