Three new Bachelor of Commerce degrees to be launched this fall.

Fanshawe's respected Lawrence Kinlin School of Business is expanding its already extensive portfolio of programs by introducing three new Bachelor of Commerce degrees this fall.

The four-year programs, which are currently accepting applications, are:

  • Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting)
  • Bachelor of Commerce (Digital Marketing)
  • Bachelor of Commerce (Human Resources Management)

The degrees offer leading edge applied business training through the development of knowledge, skills and decision-making abilities by blending rigorous in-class training with the experience of a valuable 14-week co-op placement.

"This is an exciting day for the Lawrence Kinlin School of Business," says Mary Pierce, chair of the School. "Fanshawe's Bachelor of Commerce degrees will produce exactly what employers need to be competitive - strategic thinkers who can hit the ground running."

The degrees represent the latest innovation at the Lawrence Kinlin School of Business, with a number of new programs and formats being launched over the past year.

"These new programs add a whole new dimension to the School," says Pierce. "With certificates, diplomas, degrees, weekend and full online programs, the school has become a major provider of business training in Southwestern Ontario."

Each program is built around a robust curriculum and industry-leading faculty with years of business experience in the fields of accounting, finance, information systems and marketing. They will teach students how to recognize new business opportunities, approach challenges creatively and anticipate the unique needs of the global business market.

Graduates will be able to pursue a wide-variety of careers spanning all industries with both large and small employers in either the public or private sectors.

While students may enter into the degree programs directly from high school or as a mature applicant, all have been developed with flexibility in mind. Students will have the opportunity to start in a business diploma or advanced diploma program and transfer into their desired degree program in either their second or third year. Diploma graduates from Fanshawe or any other college will be able to transfer into a degree program in summer 2015.

The Lawrence Kinlin School of Business will hold information sessions for prospective students every Tuesday until April 7, 2015.
