Fanshawe Paramedic program students Michelle Gruszecki (first-year), Kaitlynn James (second-year), and recent graduates and faculty members Will Johnston and Paige Mason will join faculty member Alan Batt at the Paramedicine Across Canada Expo (PACE) being held in Quebec City on August 18 and 19, 2017.
They will lead a panel discussion in the dedicated education track which will be focused on evidence-based practice and its integration into the Fanshawe Paramedic program.
PACE, presented by the Paramedic Association of Canada, is an international conference designed to bring together front-line paramedics, educators and researchers from all practice settings to learn and network with each other. Delegates attend from around the world, and speakers are attending from several countries.
Batt states "This is yet another demonstration of the leadership role the Fanshawe paramedic program plays, both nationally and internationally, in paramedic education. The chance for our students and graduates to deliver this panel discussion is an amazing professional development opportunity for them all." Batt will also speak earlier at the conference on the topic of developing reflective practice in paramedicine.
Further information on the conference is available at www.pacexpo.ca.
