(London, Ontario) – On Tuesday, May 31, Fanshawe College will recognize Westminster College Foundation for their generous donation toward the purchase of a new baby simulator for its health sciences labs.

“Baby Westminster” will provide clinical, hands-on, applied learning to help prepare students for placements in the health care system. These high-tech patient simulators mimic real-life situations and illnesses to provide high-quality learning experiences for Fanshawe students, prior to working with live patients in hospitals and clinical settings.

What:  Fanshawe will celebrate the arrival of its newest sim family member
When:  Tuesday, May 31, 2016 at 10:30 a.m.
Where:  Fanshawe College, 1001 Fanshawe College Blvd, room D2012 (see campus map here)

Wireless patient simulators are an essential component in the education and training of our nursing, respiratory and paramedic students. With this addition to the health sciences programs, Fanshawe continues to provide a strong foundation of real-life training to better prepare students for future careers in health-care.

The media is invited to attend this event that will take place in Fanshawe's simulated hospital laboratory.
