College welcomes ISUR Director General to London Campus to discuss collaboration
On Wednesday, July 10, Fanshawe College celebrated the signing of an official agreement with Instituto del Sur (ISUR), located in Arequipa, Peru.
Alfredo Rivera Diaz, Director General of ISUR, visited Fanshawe on Wednesday, July 10 to tour the London Campus. After the tour, Rivera joined Jeff Wright, Vice-President, Corporate Strategy and Business Development, to sign a collaborative agreement from 2:30 to 3 p.m.
The collaborative agreement begins a formal process of exploration between Fanshawe and ISUR to determine specific pathways for students and faculty to move between both institutions. Further discussions will focus on opportunities for leadership development, applied research and dual programming.
"Fanshawe continues to expand our geographic footprint in South America, and in particular, Peru," says Wright. "We're pleased to collaborate with ISUR to continue developing partnerships that support the delivery of post-secondary education and services to students and faculty in both countries."
Wright intends to visit ISUR later this month.
About Instituto del Sur

Over the past 30 years, thousands of students have passed through ISUR's classrooms. Today the institute trains approximately 5,000 students annually in 11 career-based programs including gastronomy, tourism, entrepreneurship and health. For the past 12 years, ISUR has developed close relationships with Canadian institutions mainly under the Emerging Leaders in the Americas Program (ELAP) through EduCanada. ELAP provides scholarships to students from Latin America and the Caribbean for short-term exchange opportunities to study and conduct academic research in Canada.
