Andrew Pyper, author of The Demonologist, visits Fanshawe on October 23.
Fanshawe College will welcome award-winning author Andrew Pyper to the London Campus for a public reading and book signing on Thursday, October 23, 2014.
Pyper is the author of six novels. His most recent novel, The Demonologist, is currently being developed for a feature film by director Robert Zemeckis and Universal Pictures.
The Demonologist is a number one Canadian bestseller and was named as part of the Globe and Mail's Best 100 list.
Pyper's book also received the 2014 International Thriller Writers Award for Best Hardcover Novel from an impressive shortlist that included an entry by Stephen King.
Andrew's previous novels include Lost Girls (winner of the Arthur Ellis Award, a New York Times Notable Book and one of CBC's 100 Novels That Make You Proud To Be Canadian), The Killing Circle (a New York Times Crime Novel of the Year), and The Guardians (a Globe and Mail Best Book). His forthcoming novel, The Damned, will be published in early 2015. Raised near Stratford, he lives in Toronto.

Pyper's visit is part of Fanshawe's Letters and Arts Society Reading Series. Each year, authors from a variety of genres are invited to Fanshawe to read from their works and participate in question and answer sessions with staff, students and London community members. The reading series is sponsored by the Canada Council for the Arts and the London Arts Council.
