Fanshawe Women's Soccer Jumps Three Spots to #6 in Canada

Falcons Men's Soccer Climb Back into Top 15

 

(London, Ontario) – The Fanshawe Women's Soccer team moved up another three spots to #6 in the Canadian Colleges Athletic Association (CCAA) National Rankings this week. Last week, the Women's Soccer team (5-0) defeated the Lambton Lions (0-4-1) and the Redeemer Royals (1-4) by scores of 7-0 and 3-0 to stay undefeated on the year.  Second year forward Jade Kovacevic (Georgetown, ON) is tied for the OCAA lead with fourteen goals so far this season.  The Falcons lead the OCAA West Division in goals for (23) and goals against (1). Up next, the Falcons are on the road versus the Conestoga Condors (1-4) on Sunday, October 2 at 1pm.

 

Other Women's Soccer teams in the OCAA that are ranked include Algonquin (3), Humber (12) and Cambrian (13). 

 

After dropping out of the National rankings for a week, the Fanshawe Men's Soccer team (4-1) has come back in at #14 after defeating the Lambton Lions (1-3) and the Redeemer Royals (1-3-1) by scores of 2-1 and 6-0 respectively.  In those games, Fanshawe's Elvir Gigolaj (London, ON) scored five goals, including both game winners.  On Sunday, October 2 at 3pm, Fanshawe is on the road versus the Conestoga Condors (0-4-1).

 

Other Men's Soccer teams in the OCAA that are ranked include Humber (1), Algonquin (3) and St. Clair (11).
