(London, Ontario) – On Wednesday evening at the Glenn Johnston Athletic Centre, the Fanshawe Falcons (9-2) defeated the St. Clair Saints (2-7) in three straight sets.
The Falcons began the game strong with many solid attacks. A huge kill by Fanshawe's James Jackson put the home team up 17-9 in the first set. The Falcons continued to dominate for the remainder of the set and went on to win by a score of 25-15.
In the second set, Fanshawe had the advantage from the start. The Falcons made the score 7-4 with a kill by Derek Braun. A well-placed tip by Fanshawe's Andre Foreman extended the lead to 15-7 in favour of the home team. The Falcons defeated the Saints in the second set 25-8.
St. Clair battled hard to open the third set, taking a 7-4 lead and forcing Fanshawe to call a timeout. Both teams were exchanging points throughout the set, as the Saints continued to attack. The Falcons continued to score with strong serving by Sebastian Lethbridge and an amazing block by Braun. Despite St. Clair's best efforts, the Falcons took the final set by a score of 25-20.

The Falcons will resume regular season play in the new year, when they will travel to play Sheridan (5-4) on Sunday, January 10.
