(London, Ontario) – The Fanshawe Falcons (7-7) lost both games of their doubleheader to the Humber Hawks (10-6) by scores of 6-3 and 9-5.  Fanshawe is now in fourth place in the OCAA Baseball standings.

In game one, the Hawks jumped in front in the top of the second inning but in the bottom of the fourth, Fanshawe came right back to tie the game on an RBI double by Travis Helps.  Heading into the bottom of the sixth inning, the Falcons trailed 4-1.  Fanshawe scored two runs with two out in the sixth but left the bases loaded and found themselves down 4-3 heading to the final inning of play.  The Hawks would score another two runs in the top of the seventh and go on to win by a final score of 6-3.  Fanshawe's pitcher Robert Doyle (1-1) would take the loss.

In the top of the first inning of game two, the Humber Hawks had three hits but the Falcons held them to just one run.  Unfortunately, Humber would come back in the top of the second with five runs on seven hits and a walk and take a commanding 6-0 lead. In the bottom of the second, the Falcons had a pair of singles, but an inning ending 3-6-3 double play left Fanshawe scoreless after two.  The Hawks would tack on another two runs in the top of the third but Fanshawe would score a run in the bottom half of the inning on a sacrifice fly by Carlos Arteaja.  The Falcons would still trail the Hawks 8-1.  In the bottom of the fourth, Fanshawe would start the inning with a double by Helps, who would come around to score on an RBI single by Hayden Regnier.   In the bottom of the fifth, the Falcons would score three more runs to close the gap to four but that is as close as they would get, losing by a final score of 9-5.  Matt Smith (0-1) would take the loss for the Falcons.
