(London, Ontario) – At the Glenn Johnston Athletic Centre on Saturday afternoon, the Fanshawe Men's Basketball team (0-2) lost to the Sheridan Bruins (3-0) by a score of 77-50.

 

Fanshawe and Sheridan traded baskets to start the game, as Sheridan held a 19-17 edge at the end of the opening frame. In the second quarter, the Bruins went on a run, but Falcons' freshman Chris Parker had back-to-back buckets to keep Fanshawe within reach. The Falcons went into the locker room down 36-32, with Parker leading the scoring with 13 points.

 

The second half began with a nice pass from Fanshawe veteran Moses Orozco-Rayo to Alfred Johnson to start a 6-0 run. The Falcons went up 38-36, forcing the Bruins to call a timeout.  Unfortunately, Sheridan responded and took a 61-41 lead going into the final quarter. In the fourth frame, Jake Price hit a baseline 3-pointer to try and spark the Fanshawe offense, however, Sheridan went on to take the win by a final score of 77-50.

Jemol Edwards – 17 points

 

 

Fanshawe's next game takes place on Saturday, November 5 at home versus the Sault Cougars.
