(London, Ontario) – On Sunday afternoon at the Glenn Johnston Athletic Centre, the Fanshawe Falcons (7-1) defeated the Cambrian Golden Shield (0-7) in three sets. 

 

The Falcons began the game strong, forcing Cambrian to call a quick timeout. A huge kill by Fanshawe's James Jackson increased the home team's lead to 10-3. The Falcons continued to dominate for the remainder of the set and went on to win by a score of 25-10.

 

The Falcons established their lead early on in the second set, going up 14-6.  Fanshawe maintained the significant lead with several kills by David AuCoin.  Despite the Golden Shield's best efforts, the Falcons took the second set 25-10.

 

Fanshawe had all the momentum in the third set, taking a commanding 18-8 lead.  Cambrian was able to score four straight points after a timeout, however could not complete the comeback.  The Falcons eventually won the final set by a score of 25-15. 

 

Fanshawe's Top Performer:

David AuCoin – 12 kills

 

Cambrian's Top Performer:

Kyle Morris – 8 kills

 

The Men's Volleyball squad will travel to Hamilton on Friday, November 20, to play the Mohawk Mountaineers (6-0) at 8pm.
