Fanshawe's 50th
February 28, 2017

On September 9, 2017, Fanshawe College will host an exclusive concert at Budweiser Gardens featuring three popular and diverse Canadian artists: Hedley, Barenaked Ladies and special guest, Brave Shores.

The concert, "Fanshawe at 50: Live in Concert", will be the marquee celebration of the College's first 50 years with students, staff, alumni and retirees.

"This concert will represent more than just the biggest event in College history," says Fanshawe President, Peter Devlin. "It will be an exciting celebration befitting an institution that prides itself on being innovative."

The concert is an invite-only event. Fanshawe students, staff, alumni and retirees will be able to purchase tickets beginning March 10, 2017, through Budweiser Gardens' online box office www.budweisergardens.com/tickets.

Each invitee will receive a unique code, provided in an email from communications@fanshawec.ca, which will allow for the purchase of up to four tickets. Ticket prices vary from $37.50 (Level 2) to $50 (Level 1).

Hedley, a pop-rock group from British Columbia, has won multiple MMVA and JUNO awards, including the 2012 Pop Album of the Year. Barenaked Ladies, an iconic Canadian group that traces its roots to Scarborough, ON, burst onto the scene with their 1992 album, Gordon. They have released a total of 11 studio albums, won eight JUNO Awards and been nominated for multiple Grammy awards. Brave Shores, a Toronto-based electro pop band that formed in 2013, enjoyed early success with their hit song, "Never Come Down".
