Fanshawe will celebrate student success and showcase Indigenous culture at the Year End Gathering Celebration held March 21 to 23, 2016.

Fanshawe will offer a range of free activities for students, staff and community members, including:


  • A performance by Indigenous musicians Lacey Hill and Logan Staats on March 21.
  • A lacrosse workshop on March 22. Students from Fanshawe's First Nations Centre will teach participants the traditional Native history of lacrosse, lacrosse drills and how to scrimmage.
  • A comedy night and podcast workshop on March 22. Ryan McMahon will host both events and offer a live taping of his podcast "Red Man Laughing".
  • A celebration of student success at the 19th annual Year End Gathering on March 23. The event will offer free food, dance demonstrations for men's and women's powwow style, a smoke dance contest and craft vendors.
