Research and Innovation Day showcases the best in student and staff work.
Fanshawe students and staff will display their creativity at the fourth annual Research and Innovation Day on Wednesday, March 18, 2015.
Research and Innovation Day is an annual exhibition of student and staff research projects.
Students who have completed individual, group, class or capstone projects are invited to submit projects to display at the event. Judges assess each project based on specific criteria with winners chosen and cash prizes awarded. For staff participants, the event is an excellent opportunity to share their research with colleagues and the College community.
After staff present their projects in the morning, students will present their work in the afternoon. Before the student exhibit, there will be a keynote address and panel discussion entitled The Importance of Research and Innovation to Economic Development. Speakers include:
- The Honourable Ed Holder, Minister of State (Science and Technology)
- City of London Councillor and Deputy Mayor Paul Hubert
- Glen Burston, technical operations manager, Hudson Boat Works
- Kapil Lakhotia, president and chief executive officer, London Economic Development Corporation
