(London, Ontario) – On Wednesday, just two games into her second season with the Falcons, Women's Soccer player Jade Kovacevic (Georgetown, ON) became Fanshawe Women's Soccer's career goals leader, after her first goal versus the Redeemer Royals (0-0-2).  Kovacevic passed Fanshawe's Melanie Moulton, who had held the career goals record with 26 goals since 1998.

Kovacevic scored an amazing six goals in Fanshawe's 10-0 win over Redeemer on Wednesday, breaking the Fanshawe record for goals in a single game. Last season, Kovacevic tied the Fanshawe mark for most goals scored in a game with five and on October 17, broke the OCAA record for most goals scored in a single season (previously 20).  She led the country (CCAA) in goals scored with 26 and was named the OCAA Women's Soccer Player of the Year as well as Fanshawe's Female Athlete of the Year.

Fanshawe will be in action again on Saturday, September 17 when they travel to Mohawk for their game versus the Mountaineers (1-0-0).
