Graduation

On Thursday, November 3, 2016, Fanshawe College's London Campus will celebrate fall convocation. More than 1,500 graduates are eligible to cross the stage and join more than 174,000 Fanshawe alumni who are making a difference around the world.

During each ceremony, the College will also recognize the impact made by individuals at a local, provincial, national or global level with the presentation of a Fanshawe College honorary diploma. Each recipient has, in some way, enriched the lives and careers of Fanshawe students and alumni.

Honorary diplomas will be presented to professional Indy car driver, Paul Tracy (10 a.m.) and renowned liver transplant surgeon, Dr. William Wall (3 p.m.). Each will address the graduates after receiving their diploma from Fanshawe. Mr. Tracy and Dr. Wall will be available for interviews one hour prior to their ceremony.

Ceremony one, 10 a.m.

  • Presentation of degrees and diplomas to graduates from the Faculty of Arts, Media and Design; Faculty of Business and Faculty of Technology;
  • Presentation of a Fanshawe College honorary diploma to Mr. Paul Tracy, professional Indy car driver;
  • Presentation of the following awards:
    • Governor General's Academic Medal (highest overall average in the College) and the Dean's Academic Award – Faculty of Business to Mr. Ryan Slipetz, Computer Programmer Analyst program;
    • Presentation of the Dean's Academic Award – Faculty of Arts, Media and Design to Ms. Kiah Van De Ven, General Arts and Science program;
    • Presentation of the Dean's Academic Award – Faculty of Technology to Mr. John Kingma, Electrician (Construction and Maintenance) program.

Ceremony two, 3 p.m.

  • Presentation of diplomas to graduates from the Faculty of Health Sciences and Human Services;
  • Presentation of a Fanshawe College honorary diploma to Dr. William Wall, renowned liver transplant surgeon;
  • Presentation of the following awards:
    • Dean's Academic Award – Faculty of Health Sciences and Human Services to Ms. Meredith Wise, Dental Assisting (Levels I and II) program;
    • Mary Ann Darling Memorial Alumni Award to Ms. Paige Mason, Paramedic program.
