Softball and Baseball

(London, Ontario) – Two members of both Fanshawe's Women's Softball and Men's Baseball programs were honoured for their play this season as the OCAA handed out their 2014 league awards.

Kady Hawkins – OCAA Rookie of the Year and League All-Star – Hawkins was third in the league with a .500 batting average, and second among players with 30 hits. She stole seven bases and was just one shy of the OCAA leader. She also was named an OCAA league all-star.

Rachel Dotzert – League All-Star – On the season, Dotzert had 23 hits for the Falcons including 2 doubles and 2 triples. She had an impressive .442 batting average, drove in 8 runs and stole 6 bases.

Paul Lytwynec – League All-Star – Lytwynec led the league with both 29 hits and 7 doubles and was second in the league with a batting average of .468. He had an on-base percentage of .560 and was invaluable on defense at shortstop for the Falcons.

Sean Refflinghaus – League All-Star – Catcher Refflinghaus was sixth in the league in batting average at .417. He was behind the plate in all 18 games for Fanshawe. On the season, he scored 22 runs on 25 hits and knocked in 19 RBIs.
