Dr. Howard Rundle honoured by Province of Ontario.
Fanshawe College is proud to announce that its longest-serving President, Dr. Howard Rundle (retired) has been presented with the Minister's Lifetime Achievement Award from the Honorable Reza Moridi, Minister of Training, Colleges and Universities.
The Lifetime Achievement Award recognizes success in advancing the college, the community and the Ontario college system.
Dr. Rundle was honoured for his leadership at the provincial level during a career at Fanshawe that began in 1972. He became the College's fourth President in 1995 and led the College through the largest expansion in its history. Dr. Rundle retired in August 2013 and was immediately appointed President Emeritus. He continues to advocate for education in this role, believing that education empowers people. In retirement, he also remains a member of the London Economic Development Corporation and sits on several other charitable and business boards.
"I cannot think of a more deserving person than Howard Rundle for this award," said Fanshawe President Peter Devlin. "His leadership and commitment have helped shape Fanshawe College and the entire college system. We would not be where we are today without his vision."
