The Falcons started the game strong, netting 14 straight points before the Lions scored a bucket. Fanshawe's defense stifled Lambton, as the Falcons got back-to-back steals on defensive possessions. In the second quarter, the Falcons continued their offensive pressure with a Claire Dechet (Sarnia, ON) stop and pop. Shooting an impressive 52% from the field in the first half, the red and white held a 42-15 lead going into the locker room.

In the third quarter, Morris would open the scoring for Fanshawe with a midrange shot from the wing. Ali Vlasman (Mount Elgin, ON) then drew an offensive foul, as the Falcons continued to play strong defense. A drive from Amanda Milmine (Aylmer, ON) resulted in two made free throws and Mikhaila Wright (London, ON) added a triple to extend the home team's lead to 59-21 after 30 minutes of play. The fourth quarter began with a strong drive to the basket from Maddy Kielar (Newmarket, ON). Offensive rebounds by second-year guard Haly Hawkins (London, ON) gave the Falcons extra offensive possessions. Maggie Jarvis (London, ON) then drove past her defender and found Taylor Evans (London, ON) for a layup. Fanshawe went on to win the game 70-29.
