Second Career

Second Career is an Ontario government program designed to help people who have been laid off since January 1, 2005 and are currently unemployed or underemployed and working less than 20 hours a week. You do not need to be receiving Employment Insurance (EI) to be eligible. The program will help unemployed workers who commit to a long-term training plan make the transition to new careers in growing areas of the economy. You may qualify for financial support of up to $28,000.

To see if you qualify and apply for funding, please make an appointment at Community Employment Services by calling 519-432-1220 or emailing ces@fanshawec.ca.
