Larry Kinlin exemplifies the finest qualities of a philanthropist. He is generous and thoughtful in sharing his time, talent and treasure. As a born salesman, Larry pursued a successful career with Mutual Life for 35 years, before launching Larry Kinlin and Associates in 1998, always providing his clients with loyal, responsive service.

Also hailed as a passionate and hard-working volunteer, Larry chaired both the United Way and YMCA fundraising campaigns, while living in Sarnia. He was subsequently nominated for Citizen of the Year and recognized with an Outstanding Achievement Award from the City. When he moved to London in 1998, Larry served as London Health Sciences Centre (LHSC) capital campaign vice-chair, and helped to raise more than $150M for hospital restructuring.

As an enthusiastic advocate for education, in 2006 Larry joined the Fanshawe College Foundation Board, before serving as its vice-chair in 2008, its chair in 2009 and heading the College's first-ever Remarkable Campaign to raise $100M to support students through learning resources, spaces and research. During this pivotal time, Larry also gifted Fanshawe with $1M - the largest personal donation in College history - thus naming the Lawrence Kinlin School of Business, and inspiring philanthropy in the hearts of thousands.
