As an experienced leader in development, infrastructure, and project management, John McArthur truly is a builder in every sense. Embracing his Fanshawe diploma in urban and regional planning, and a degree in landscape architecture, John has a unique capacity to envision complex developments - before they are even launched, and the organizational skills to bring them to fruition. As president of Kiewit Development Company, headquartered in Omaha, Nebraska, John is responsible for building the firm's equity investment business across North America. To do so, he oversees a diverse team of experts and partners delivering comprehensive Public Private Partnership infrastructure projects.
From 2003, when John became president of Bilfinger Project Investments to five years ago when he joined Kiewit, he has been directly involved in the development of over $8B of public infrastructure in Canada and the United States.
John is a recognized expert in the infrastructure development field and is frequently a presenter at conferences across North America and Europe. He has also presented to the graduate class at Stanford University. Meantime, John derives personal gratification from contributing to infrastructure that makes people's lives better, being part of the team that delivers those projects, and mentoring people in his chosen career.
