(London, Ontario) – Fanshawe College Cross Country Head Coach Ashley Vandervecht is proud to announce the addition of Hannah Carley to this season's recruiting class.  The native of Newmarket, Ontario will be studying in Fanshawe's Special Events Planning program beginning in the fall.

Carley previously attended Humber College, where she was a member of the Cross Country team in 2015. She had a standout season where she was named the OCAA Female Cross Country Rookie of the Year and was named to the OCAA All-Ontario Second Team. “After coming off an injury in the 2016 season, I am very excited to be running again,” said Carley. “I look forward to representing Fanshawe and being part of their team for the 2017 season.”

“Hannah is an extremely talented runner,” said Head Coach Vandervecht.  “She is outgoing, dedicated and portrays excellent leadership qualities. We are very excited to work with Hannah and have her join our women's team for this upcoming season.”

Carley and the Falcons will begin their season on Saturday, September 16 at Fanshawe's annual Cross Country Invitational. This will also be the location of the 2017 OCAA Provincial Championships on Saturday, October 28.
