(London, Ontario) – The Fanshawe College Cross Country team is proud to announce the addition of standout runner Janelle Hanna. The Peterborough, Ontario native has both the talent and experience to immediately impact the program.

Hanna previously attended the University of Guelph, where she was a member of both the Cross Country and Track and Field teams in 2014-15 and 2015-16. In her time at Guelph, she competed in many 6km Cross Country races in the CIS, with her personal best landing at a time of 22 minutes and 30 seconds. At the 2015-16 OUA Indoor Track and Field Championship, Hanna placed sixth in the 600m race. She was also a member of the Gryphons 4 x 800m relay team that won bronze at the 2015-16 CIS Indoor Track and Field Championship in 2015-16.

At Fanshawe, Hanna will be studying in the Medical Radiation Technology program. “I'm very excited about starting my program at Fanshawe this fall”, Hanna states. “Having the opportunity to run and represent my school again will make my college experience that much better.”

Hanna and the Falcons will begin their season on Saturday, September 16 at Fanshawe's annual Cross Country Invitational.
