(London, Ontario) – The OCAA Champion Fanshawe Men's Volleyball team will travel to British Columbia for the CCAA Men's Volleyball National Championship from March 7-10. The National Championship will be hosted by Camosun College in Victoria. In the quarterfinal, the #1 nationally ranked Falcons will face the #3 Vancouver Island University Mariners at 6pm EST (3pm PST) on Thursday, March 8.


Fanshawe has a very balanced attack but are led by OCAA Player of the Year Cole Jordan (London, ON) who averaged 4.8 points per set this season. Zach Albert (Brampton, ON) was named the OCAA Championship MVP after averaging 4.4 kills per set over the three match tournament. Delaware brothers Sam and Will Otten also each added 2.5 points per set. Other key contributors for the Falcons includes setter Sebastian Lethbridge (London, ON), middle Mike Liscumb (Ilderton, ON) and libero David Gundrum (Port Elgin, ON).   


The Mariners are led by Braydon Brouwer, who averaged 4.4 points per set, good for second place in the PACWEST. Vancouver Island finished in first place in regular season play with a record of 20-4. They then fell to Camosun in the final match of their conference tournament 3-1.
