(London, Ontario) – On Saturday July 29 and Sunday July 30, Fanshawe College will be hosting the World Koshiki Superkaratedo Championships. Over 100 athletes from 16 different countries will compete at the Glenn Johnston Athletic Centre, featuring a range of divisions including junior competitors.

Koshiki is a form of Karate that is open to all martial arts styles. It incorporates body and face armour, allowing students to strike with full force while avoiding injury.

This year marks the 20th edition of the impressive hard-contact karate tournament. Canada last hosted the World Koshiki Superkaratedo Championships in 2014, when London was the emergency backup host.
