(London, Ontario) – The Fanshawe Women's and Men's Cross Country teams, and Women's and Men's Soccer teams are all in the top ten in the Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) National Rankings this week.
The Men's Soccer team (5-0-1) has moved up one spot from last week, to #5 in the CCAA National Rankings. The Falcons defeated the Lambton Lions by a dominating score of 5-0 last week and will look to use that momentum in their next game versus the St. Clair Saints (4-2). Other Men's Soccer teams in the OCAA that are ranked include Humber (1), Niagara (12), and Algonquin (15).
The Women's Soccer team (6-0) is currently ranked #10 in the nation. Fanshawe's only game last week was a 4-0 road win over Lambton. The Falcons will look to extend their winning streak on Saturday, October 7 at St. Clair (4-1-1). Other Women's Soccer teams in the OCAA that are ranked include Algonquin (2), Humber (6) and Cambrian (13).
The first 2017 CCAA Cross Country rankings were released this week, with the Fanshawe Men's team ranked #3 in the nation and the Women #5. The Falcons won double gold in both team events at the Seneca Invitational last week. Fanshawe's top runners Jordan Kadlecik and Janelle Hanna also brought home individual men's and women's titles respectively at the Seneca race. Other Men's Cross Country teams in the OCAA that are ranked include Sheridan (5), Humber (7), and Mohawk (11). Other OCAA Women's teams include Humber (7), Cambrian (10) and George Brown (13).
