(London, Ontario) – At the Glenn Johnston Athletic Centre on Saturday afternoon, the #2 nationally ranked Fanshawe Men's Volleyball team (19-0, 1st in West) punched their ticket to the OCAA Provincial Championship with a three set sweep over the Centennial Colts (7-12, 8th in East).

The Colts came out strong in the opening set, staying with the Falcons and keeping the game close. Fanshawe had points from Cole Jordan (London, ON) and Zach Albert (Brampton, ON) and midway through the frame, the score was 14-13 in favour of the home team. A right side attack from Sam Otten (Delaware, ON) got the Falcons going, as they would then extend their lead to 20-15. A brilliant serve by Will Otten (Delaware, ON) gave Fanshawe the first set, 25-18.

Fanshawe continued to share the ball on offense, as five different Falcons registered points in the second set. The red and white went on a 5-0 run, sparked by a massive kill by Albert, followed by a block from Jordan to make the score 19-10. The Falcons finished the set on a 6-1 run to win 25-11.

Fanshawe came out flying in the third set, using their momentum to carry them to a 5-0 lead. Sebastian Lethbridge (London, ON) set up Jordan for yet another kill that excited the home crowd. The Falcons high-powered attack proved too much for the Colts, as Fanshawe took the final set 25-12 and the match 3-0.
