Ashley VanderVecht



As a Fanshawe Falcon alumni, Ashley VanderVecht was part of the Cross Country team from 2006-2008. During this time, she was an OCAA All Academic (2006-2008) and a National Scholar in 2007-2008. She was the Associate Coach from 2008-2014 and then took the position of Assistant Coach from 2014-2016. Her leadership and coaching skills landed her the lead position of Head Coach in 2016. While VanderVecht has been on the coaching staff, Fanshawe Cross Country has won a total of 27 OCAA medals; 13 gold, 10 silver and four bronze, and 18 CCAA medals; seven gold, six silver and five bronze. In 2016/17, VanderVecht won the OCAA Coach of the Year award and coached student-athlete Seth Marcaccio to Fanshawe's first ever CCAA Men's Individual Champion gold medal.
