Cdn Aviation Reg, Safety & Human Factors

This course is designed to provide the learner with an understanding and awareness of the importance of workplace safety and the impact that human factors play in the aviation industry. Participants will learn to identify and recall WORKPLACE and PERSONAL SAFETY practices and procedures through a combination of theory and assessment activities along with this, within the Workplace Safety area, students will also develop a thorough understanding of the WHMIS program and a basic level conceptual understanding of Safety Management Systems through an overview of the application of the program as it relates to the various levels of approved organizations and the various components of the SMS required within these organizations. . In the Canadian Aviation Regulations section of this course, participants will gain an understanding of the legalities surrounding the maintenance of Canadian civilian aircraft and aeronautical products. Participants will also be able to interpret the regulations for issuance of an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) licence. This course satisfies the common requirements for all basic training courses as described in CAR Standard 566, Appendix C; Part 1.
