Indigenous Music, Arts and Culture Celebration
Fanshawe College's First Nations Centre and First Nations Studies Program Major teamed up to present the Indigenous Music, Arts and Culture Celebration on February 12, 2014.
Nimkii-nini (Thunder-man) from Wikwemikong unceded territory shared both hand drum songs and a hoop dance demonstration. World renowned musician and artist David R. Maracle performed using instruments from around the world. A free lunch of Three Sisters Soup was provided and artists and artisans were on hand to display their work.
Brought to you by Fanshawe's First Nations Centre and First Nations Studies (General Arts & Science Major), in collaboration with Indigenous Message. Also in partnership with the Fanshawe Student Union (FSU) and Sustainability at Fanshawe College.
- Fanshawe College will defer all in-person classes scheduled for the summer semester and intends to offer a blended delivery of programs in the fall.
- Prospective students and their families are invited to experience Fanshawe virtually from their own homes.
