Fanshawe Cares - Arrival Services

Updated  August 13, 2020.

Fanshawe Cares is a program that represents the attitude of the staff, students and volunteers in the International Centre as well as the College itself. It offers the best start possible on your journey with Fanshawe College.

Arrival Information for Fall 2020

Orientation Day is Friday, September 18 and the first day of classes is Monday, September 21. If you are planning to arrive in Canada for the Fall semester, please make sure to arrive at least two weeks early to self-isolate, or quarantine, for 14 days.

Mandatory quarantine for travellers entering Canada.

The Government of Canada has put in place emergency measures to slow the introduction and spread of COVID-19 in Canada.

Travellers entering Canada by air or by land must provide basic information using the traveller contact information form, available through: the ArriveCAN mobile app (available for iPhone and Android), an accessible web-based form or a paper form.

You need a plan

When you arrive in Canada by air or land, your health will be assessed, and you must present your complete plan to quarantine for 14 days. This is mandatory, even if you have no symptoms. If you don’t have a plan, you should not travel to Canada.

Your plan should include:

  • Where you will be staying for the 14 days;
  • How you have arranged for the necessities of life (e.g. food, medications, cleaning supplies) to be delivered to your place of quarantine;
  • Use our self-isolation checklist to get ready before you arrive.
