This course introduces you to the concepts withinhealth, safety and environmental managementsystems. OH&S practitioners look to a systematicapproach when managing the health and safetysystems for their work environment. You willreview and compare international and canadianstandards for health and safety managementsystems. As a student you will discuss strategyfor audit criteria development andimplementation. Key elements of a managementsystem, including program development andfollowing the PDCA (plan, do, check, act)principles will be introduced within the course.
