Pre-Placement costs (2020/2021)

The following information outlines the approximate costs associated with each section of the Professional Practice Health Form. As the costs can vary, this is to be used as a reference.

Professional Health Form section A: Medical requirements

The costs to complete your Professional Practice Health Form can vary from $0 to $300. Please contact your Health Care Provider(s) to confirm the costs of their services.

Medical services are available for students through Fowler Kennedy Clinic with many costs covered through MorCare and/or OHIP.

Professional Health Form section B: Non-medical requirements

The costs associated with the non-medical requirements can vary and may exceed $300. Please contact service providers to confirm the costs.

Police Vulnerable Sector Check

A Police Vulnerable Sector Check (PVSC) is required. International students needing a PVSC must get the screening from the London Police Service. The cost for this is $45.

Standard First Aid and CPR

Standard First Aid and CPR training is required for all programs. The level of CPR for each program varies. Please review your Professional Practice Health Form to confirm the level of CPR you require.

Standard First Aid and CPR training cost anywhere between $120 to $180 depending on the level of training required and the service provider.

Mask Fit Testing

For programs that require Mask Fit Testing, this can cost between $30 and $60. Please contact service providers to confirm costs.

ParaMed appointment

Once you have completed all of your medical and non medical requirements, you will need to obtain clearance from ParaMed. Please note, ParaMed is only able to accept Visa, MasterCard or pre-paid credit cards at this time.

Your initial appointment with ParaMed will cost $52.84. Failure to complete all mandatory requirements will result in a subsequent appointment. The fee for each subsequent appointment is $27.49. Missed appointments will cost an additional $52.84. ParaMed requires a minimum of 24 hours notice if you need to cancel your appointment.
