Fashion Marketing and Management

The program combined the perfect mix of visual arts and business acumen, preparing me for a productive career ahead. The co-op program enabled me to gain experience in the field and helped me network with my mentors.

Kerri-Lynne McKenney
Graduate, Fashion Merchandising; District Visual Coordinator, Roots Canada
Studying Fashion Merchandising at Fanshawe College as an International student, I found all the professors and staff to be very supportive and kind. They taught me a lot. I learned knowledge and professionalism not just from the books, but also from the professors and their experience. This wonderful program allowed me to pull out 100% of my creativity and helped me to connect with people in the industry. Now, I am working as a cosmetic counter manager at Holt Renfrew. At the same time, I am also a freelancer working for photoshoots, fashion shows, and many other events with photographers, models, hairdressers, and makeup artists. Fashion Merchandising at Fanshawe College is the right direction and decision for me to go and learn for my fashion career.

I am employed with Lulu lemon developing to be one of the managers as I am currently one of the visual leaders. I am loving it and can truly say that the program was very beneficial in so many ways and has got me to where I am today!

Graduate 2012
My time at Fanshawe College was some of the most informative years of my life. As a graduate from 2009, I was equipped with the skills I needed to succeed in the fashion industry. On a daily basis, I am still utilizing skills and techniques that I have learned while gaining this industry respected diploma. Not only was the program incredibly beneficial, but it was enjoyable.

Each year, Goodwill Industries, Ontario Great Lakes is delighted to partner with Fanshawe's Fashion Merchandising program as the students plan and execute an outstanding fundraising fashion show. The garments featured in the show are created form Goodwill merchandise. Our shared values of learning, strengthening community and developing people for employment, makes the Goodwill-Fanshawe partnership a seamless fit. The faculty is knowledgeable and professional, the students are motivated and creative, and the show is an ode to innovation, collaboration, and transformation.
