In the final semester of the Honours Bachelor of Environmental Design and Planning program, students are required to complete a Capstone Project. The project integrates and demonstrates learning from the four core curriculum streams: design, planning, GIS, visualization/communication. An answer or proposed solution to a research question applied to a physical environment at the scale of a site, neighbourhood, city or region is the general outcome of a capstone project. Further to that, students present their project professionally in report and poster format and publicly for review and evaluation. The project contributes greatly to the students’ portfolios used to communicate their ideas, skills and achievements to prospective employers. The samples below are recent Capstone Project posters completed by students of the Honours Bachelor of Environmental Design and Planning program.
